Sunday

Sunday - Home Sweet Home

Sunday morning we gave lots of hugs and kisses to Willie and said our good-byes, feeling very positive about his dorm, dorm staff, and Cape Cod Community College classes (Photography, and Hospitality !!). Bill was anxious to make it to Boston College to visit Lulu and see her new digs before our plane ride home. We cruised into Chestnut Hill with plenty of time for a tour of the still very clean house (it HAD been 5 days since I'd swept the floors). We gave a call to Kate Morrissey to see if she wanted to join us for lunch, but she was already on Newbury Street (is there a library there or just shops & restaurants? I think there is a library, John...)

Good thing we had left plenty of time to spare, as today was The Jimmy Fund Walk, where over 8500 people walked the 26.2 mile route of the Boston Marathon to honor loved ones facing cancer. Over $66 million has been raised for cancer research at Dana-Farber since the walk began 20 years ago.

One last thing before I sign off - on the Virgin American flight home I watched the pilot episode for a new tv show that's been getting a lot of press lately - Lone Star. It's about a young man (the very attractive James Wolk) who was raised in Texas by his con-man kinda scary father, with whom he has been working with selling bogus oil & gas leases. Anyway he is happily married to the daughter of a rich Dallas oil tycoon (played by the always excellent Jon Voight) YET is in love and also married to a young lady in Midland. Leading a secret double life, torn between two lovers, and kinda wanting to turn legit but maybe not...makes for a really good show. It premiers on FOX September 20th - take
my advice: Watch it (and then let's talk!!!)

Happy to be home as always, yet wondering where my next adventure will be, I say Good-Bye for now! xoxoxo Thanks for reading - it's because of all of you the pleasure of writing my travel blog! xo
